This Privacy Policy explains how Solis Lumen LLC, doing business as TurmSkin ("TurmSkin," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit https://try-turmskin.com (the "Site"), buy from us, chat with us, or sign up for our emails or texts. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and order history. Payment card details are entered into Shopify's or PayPal's checkout and processed by them. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us by email, by text, or through the chat window on the Site.
- Reviews, photos, and survey answers you choose to submit.
Information collected automatically when you use the Site
- Device and connection details: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, screen size, language, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Activity on the Site: the pages and URLs you visit, the page that referred you, the products you view, items added to your cart, the searches you run, the links and buttons you click, and the date and time of each action.
- Session recordings: we use a tool that records how visitors use the Site, including mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and the pages viewed, so that we can find and fix problems with the Site. Payment fields and password fields are masked and are not recorded.
- Identifiers stored in cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies (together, "tracking technologies").
Information from others
- Advertising and analytics partners, and the platforms you reach us from (for example, an ad you clicked on Facebook or Google).
2. Tracking technologies and the third parties that use them
The Site uses tracking technologies that are run by us and by third parties. While you browse the Site, these third parties receive information about your visit directly from your browser, as it happens. That information includes the URLs of the pages you visit, your clicks, the products you view or add to your cart, your purchases, your device identifiers and IP address, and their own cookie identifiers. If you give us your email address or phone number, they may also receive it in a scrambled (hashed) form. The third parties use this information to measure and improve our ads and our Site. Some of them also combine it with information they hold about you from other websites and use it for their own purposes, such as building advertising profiles.

Chat. When you use the chat window on the Site, your messages and the page you are on are sent to and stored by Gorgias, our customer support provider, so that our team can read and answer them. [If Gorgias AI or an automated agent replies: some replies are generated automatically.] Do not send payment card numbers or health information through chat.
Consent. [Only if a consent banner is turned on:] Visitors from California and the other states listed in Section 6 are shown a banner when they first arrive. Analytics and advertising tracking technologies load only after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of every page.
3. How we use personal information
- To process and ship orders, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer support.
- To send order and shipping updates.
- To send marketing emails and texts you signed up for (see Section 5).
- To measure and improve the Site, our products, and our advertising.
- To show you TurmSkin ads on other websites and apps (targeted advertising).
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems.
- To comply with the law and to enforce our Terms.
4. How we share personal information
- Service providers that process information for us under contract: hosting, payments, fulfillment and shipping (including our warehouse), customer support, and email and text delivery.
- Advertising and analytics partners listed in Section 2. Under California and other state laws, letting these partners collect information through tracking technologies for targeted advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out (see Section 6).
- Amazon: if you buy from us on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy notice applies to that purchase.
- Legal and safety reasons, and to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
5. Email and text messages
Email. If you subscribe, we send marketing emails through Klaviyo. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Text messages. We send texts through Postscript.
We value your privacy and the information you consent to share in relation to our SMS marketing service. We use this information to send you text notifications (for your order, including abandoned checkout reminders), text marketing offers, and transactional texts, including requests for reviews from us.
Opt-in data and consent for text messaging will not be shared with any third parties except for messaging partners, for the purpose of enabling and operating our text messaging program.
Our website uses cookies to keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your checkout. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.
By signing up via text, you agree to receive automated marketing messages and shopping cart reminders. By subscribing to Try-TurmSkin text notifications, you agree to receive automated marketing text messages.
In addition, you agree to our Messaging Terms (https://terms.pscr.pt/legal/shop/efdec5-4f/terms_of_service) and Messaging Privacy Policy (https://terms.pscr.pt/legal/shop/efdec5-4f/privacy_policy).
Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
6. Your privacy choices and rights
Opt out of targeted advertising and "sale/sharing." Use Your Privacy Choices (https://try-turmskin.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out), linked at the bottom of every page. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as an opt-out for that browser. [Confirm in Shopify that GPC is honored.] We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals. Opting out applies to the browser and device you use; if you use several, opt out on each one.
Rights by state. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia [match this list to the states in Shopify's opt-out setting] may, as their state's law provides:
- know or access the personal information we hold about them, and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete their information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of their information and of targeted advertising;
- not be discriminated against for using these rights.
How to make a request. Email info@try-turmskin.com with the subject "Privacy request," or use the Your Privacy Choices page. We will confirm your identity by matching information you give us (such as your email address and a recent order number) to our records. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. We respond within 45 days, and may extend that by up to another 45 days if we tell you we are doing so.
Appeals. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal." We will respond within 45 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact your state attorney general.
EEA/UK visitors. You may also object to or restrict processing and move your data, by emailing us at the address above.
7. California notice at collection (past 12 months)
Identifiers, such as your name, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address, and cookie IDs. Collected from you and from your device. Used for orders, customer support, marketing, and advertising. Disclosed to our service providers and to our advertising and analytics partners. Cookie IDs, IP addresses, and hashed emails and phone numbers are shared for targeted advertising.
Customer records, such as your billing and shipping address. Collected from you. Used to process orders. Disclosed to our service providers. Not sold or shared.
Commercial information, such as the products you view, your cart, and your purchases. Collected from you and from your device. Used for orders, analytics, and advertising. Disclosed to our service providers and advertising partners. Shared for targeted advertising.
Internet activity, such as the pages you visit, your clicks, and the sites that referred you[, and session recordings]. Collected from your device. Used for analytics, to improve the Site, and for advertising. Disclosed to our analytics and advertising partners. Shared for targeted advertising.
Approximate location, derived from your IP address. Collected from your device. Used for fraud prevention and analytics. Disclosed to our service providers and analytics partners. Shared for targeted advertising.
Inferences, such as your interest in our products. Derived from your activity on the Site. Used for marketing. Disclosed to our advertising partners. Shared for targeted advertising.
Communications, such as your chat, email, and text messages to us. Collected from you. Used for customer support. Disclosed to our customer support provider (Gorgias). Not sold or shared.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit its use.
8. How long we keep information
- Order records: as long as needed for orders, returns, and our tax and accounting obligations (generally 7 years).
- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information.
- Analytics and advertising data: according to each provider's retention settings, generally 26 months or less.
- Screen recordings: 30 days
- Support conversations: 3 years.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold, and our checkout is processed by PCI-compliant providers. No system is completely secure.
10. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice on the Site or by email.
